I have been really inspired by India in many senses. I keep trying to push myself away from the idea of Indian women and their beauty resignating throughout the world. This time around for this new semester I decided I really needed to push myself in order to produce the pieces that I really wanted to produce. This piece was heavily inspired by Roy LIchenstein but with my own style. This Is one of the first times, that my pieces have turned out the way that I wanted it to. Every time I feel super confident about a piece, it always deals with India. So I am planning on sticking with that subject. No piece is perfect and this one is no different. There is some linework that can be fixed here and there. But overall, I think the line work looks pretty clean. The vibrant contrasting colors really stand out to me. I love using vibrant colors in my pieces because I feel it brings them to life. I really seeing myself bringing this culture to life and making it more known to people here in America. I may not be of this ethnic decent but I am deeply fascinated with it.
