Medium: Acrylic Paint
This week I was just in a mood to paint, and try something that I have never really thought of before. This is by far one of my most creative pieces. The concept for this was the thought of the stars and how there are so many of them that you can any shape you want to out of them. It was kind of an ode to childhood and how there is imagination at every corner. Children have endless imaginations with millions of cool ideas floating around. I wanted to take a night sky and see which shapes I could make out of it. I made the cloud first and when making the cloud, the circle near the left end looked like a pupil to me. That's when I decided to make my shape a face, with an eye, eyebrow, nose, mouth, and ear. My intention was not to make it look so symmetrical because its not perfect. No one can make exact perfect shapes in the sky. Imaginations are endless, and that doesn't always mean you have to be proportional with every single part of the face. Even in art, it is not always about realism and exact proportions. Imagination can run wild.
