I feel very indifferent about this piece. This is not a bad piece by any means, not even near my worse. To me, I feel tis is very simple and basic. The flowers look a little too much clean for me and I did not make it realistic. It was not my intention at first but now I realize that I should've gone the realistic route. My inspiration for this piece was someone's bad tattoo. A friend of mine showed me her friend's new tattoo of a lotus flower. It looked really awful. I cant stand it when tattoo artists do not know how to correctly create a tattoo that their client wants. So I wanted to show how a tattoo artist should draw. My original intention was to make the flowers in a American traditional tattoo style but that didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. I think I'm transitioning into my concentration very smoothly. I get more and more inspiration from eastern cultures, particularly India and the vibrancy of the colors involved. I love to work with color because I like controlling it and making it smooth. I feel my concentration is going to be very vibrant. |
